KIADB Acquires 838 Acres for Phase II in Chamarajanagar

Representative image MYSURU: The Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) has successfully acquired 838 acres for the Phase II expansion of the Kellamballi-Badanaguppe Industrial Area in Chamarajanagar district. Initially, KIADB had notified 1,189 acres for acquisition. The majority of landowners have received compensation, with the remainder to follow once legal disputes are resolved. Officials have indicated that development has commenced on part of the acquired land for the creation of industrial plots. Mysuru Body to Auction Reclaimed Land

MYSURU: The Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) has successfully reclaimed approximately 150 acres of encroached land in and around Mysuru over the past year. The authority is now planning to transform the recovered areas into residential sites, which will be made available for auction. The reclaimed land, situated in developed layouts, was initially acquired by the authority decades ago. Compensation was provided to landowners at that time; however, over the years, numerous parcels have been illegally occupied, resulting in ongoing legal disputes. BENGALURU: To prevent future litigations once sale deeds are declared void, the Karnataka High Court has established new guidelines for civil and commercial courts, as well as sub-registrars, to update property documents in a timely manner.
