Delhi: 15 Seek Ownership in Unauthorised Colonies; No House Regularisations

NEW DELHI: Following the launch of the SWAGAM portal by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for the regularization of 1,511 unauthorized colonies, officials announced on Friday that 15 residents have applied for ownership rights. However, no applications have been submitted for house regularization through the portal as of yet. Regularisation of Delhi’s unauthorised colonies starts April 24

NEW DELHI: Residents of over 1,500 unauthorized colonies in the city can now apply online for property registration via the MCD’s SWAGAM portal, starting Friday, officials reported. Earlier this month, the Centre introduced a new policy for regularizing unauthorized colonies in Delhi on an “as is where is” basis. According to the guidelines, applicants must log into the SWAGAM portal of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for registration in the identified 1,521 unauthorized colonies.
