NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Tuesday that the Delhi Slum and JJ Cluster Rehabilitation and Relocation Policy, 2026, is finalized and will benefit around four lakh families residing in such areas. Shah recommended that the Delhi government issue tenders for at least five public-private partnership-based rehabilitation projects each month. During a review meeting focused on the rehabilitation of slum dwellers in the national capital, he directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) to issue tenders for five clusters within 45 days.
