Regularisation of Delhi’s unauthorised colonies starts April 24

NEW DELHI: Residents of over 1,500 unauthorized colonies in the city can now apply online for property registration via the MCD’s SWAGAM portal, starting Friday, officials reported. Earlier this month, the Centre introduced a new policy for regularizing unauthorized colonies in Delhi on an “as is where is” basis. According to the guidelines, applicants must log into the SWAGAM portal of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for registration in the identified 1,521 unauthorized colonies. Delhi: DDA to Finish O Zone Drone Survey in 2 Months

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has notified the National Green Tribunal that it will finish a drone survey of the Yamuna floodplain, known as the O zone, within approximately two months. This survey encompasses an area of 165 sq km, including buffer zones. The O zone refers to the floodplain along a 22-km section of the Yamuna within the city.
