JAMSHEDPUR: On Friday, over 300 beneficiaries were handed the keys to their new homes, developed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Birsanagar, Jamshedpur.
The event was inaugurated online by Jharkhand Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Sudivya Kumar.
A total of 322 individuals received symbolic keys to their new residences as part of the Birsanagar Affordable Housing Project under the PM Awas Yojana.
Two blocks, totaling 644 housing units, were constructed as part of this initiative.
During the event, BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Das Sahu planted saplings on the project grounds, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation.
The minister highlighted that the PM Awas Yojana aims to assist the economically weaker sections of society, enabling them to live safely and with dignity.
The Birsanagar Affordable Housing project not only provides homes but also seeks to enhance the quality of life for hundreds of residents.
Describing it as a significant milestone in Jamshedpur’s urban development, the minister confirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring housing for all.
