BOKARO: On Wednesday, police initiated a campaign to verify the identities of tenants within the limits of the Sector police station in the city. Officials state that this initiative aims to gather tenant information and enhance surveillance to deter criminal activities. Previous incidents revealed that cyber gangs, criminals, and Maoists had rented homes in the area.

During this drive, police personnel are conducting door-to-door checks to collect essential information from residents and landlords. They have requested landlords to assist in the verification process and to visit the Sector-4 police station to finalize tenant verification procedures.

Bokaro SP Nathu Singh Meena remarked, “Tenant verification is a crucial step in bolstering the city’s security framework. The collaboration from homeowners and residents will aid the police in identifying suspicious individuals and inhibiting potential criminal acts.”

He also urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or unknown individuals in their neighborhoods. Assurances were given that the identities of informants would be kept confidential.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious tenants by contacting the Sector-4 police station at 9431706428. The department highlighted the significance of public participation in fostering a safe and secure environment. “Community cooperation and vigilance are key to maintaining peace and security,” police officials stated.
