Mumbai Sees 70 Redevelopment Deals in Q1 2026: Report
NEW DELHI: In the first quarter of 2026, Mumbai saw nearly 70 developer agreements for society redevelopment, making up over 30% of the total agreements for 2025, according to a report by Knight Frank India. The report noted a shift towards larger, cluster-led redevelopment projects, driven by policy modifications, land aggregation, and enhanced project feasibility. Mumbai’s redevelopment initiatives could potentially unlock around 59,000 homes valued at approximately ₹1.5 lakh crore by 2031.
