Kalyan-Dombivli fines Titwala for waste management failure

Kalyan: The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has levied a penalty of ₹1 lakh against Regency Sarvam township in Titwala for allegedly failing to manage its solid waste, officials reported on Tuesday, according to Pradeep Gupta. The civic body’s Solid Waste Management Department took this action following numerous complaints about the township’s malfunctioning garbage collection and waste processing facilities, which led to improper waste disposal. Centre announces new solid waste management rules starting April 1

The waste categories for segregation include: wet waste, dry waste, sanitary waste, and special care waste.
