Punjab RERA directs builder to refund fees and obtain completion certificates
MOHALI: The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) has mandated a builder to refund Rs 5.45 lakh in excess maintenance charges collected from allottees and to secure the necessary Completion and Occupation Certificates. This decision follows a complaint filed by a residents’ association. The authority has emphasized that the builder must deliver all promised amenities as per the project’s brochure and refund charges for the excess area. The complaint was raised by the residents’ welfare association (RWA) of the housing society, citing various deficiencies and non-compliance from the builder.
