Jhansi Greenfield Industrial City Receives Environmental Clearance

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has approved the environmental clearance for the greenfield industrial city project initiated by the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The project, part of the BIDA Master Plan for 2045, will span 253.33 sq km (62,599.20 acres) across 33 villages in the Jhansi tehsil, with an estimated investment of ₹1,51,571 crore. The project is anticipated to create jobs for over 5.6 lakh individuals, as stated by the authority.
