DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand High Court has extended its interim stay on the demolition of private properties in Haldwani, where a road-widening and urban beautification initiative is underway. A division bench composed of Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta and Justice Subhash Upadhyay has scheduled the next hearing for June 4. NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court directed Uttarakhand authorities on Tuesday to assist over 27,000 residents near Haldwani Railway Station in applying for housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY). The residents are reportedly occupying railway land, and eviction procedures are in progress.
