6,000+ Affordable Homes in Gurugram: 4,728 Shortlisted Applicants

GURUGRAM: The district administration has received over 120,000 applications for the allocation of 6,743 affordable homes designated for economically weaker sections (EWS). The 1-BHK flats, priced at Rs 1.5 lakh each, are situated in private developer colonies and high-rise societies, providing beneficiaries with organized residential amenities. The booking process commenced on Thursday to ensure dignified housing for low-income families and facilitate their integration into planned urban environments, in line with the Chief Minister’s Urban Housing Scheme initiated by the Haryana government. The revised policy mandates that developers allocate 20% of plots and 15% of flats for EWS beneficiaries.
