Telangana Probes Dharani, Bhu Bharati Land Deals

HYDERABAD: On Friday, the state cabinet announced the establishment of a Special Enquiry Team (SET) to investigate alleged irregularities concerning land transactions and record manipulation related to the Dharani portal and its successor, the Bhu Bharati portal. The investigation will focus on nearly six years of transactions, examining claims related to land registrations, record alterations, transfers of government land, and prohibited land listings. Telangana to Conduct Forensic Audit of Land Records

HYDERABAD: The preparations are underway for a forensic audit of land records in Telangana, with the Telangana Technology Services Limited (TGTS) set to finalize an agreement with a security audit agency from Kerala within a week. Following the state government’s approval of this initiative about a month ago, the revenue department has instructed TGTS to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the selected agency.
