MOHALI: The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) has mandated a builder to refund Rs 5.45 lakh in excess maintenance charges collected from allottees and to secure the necessary Completion and Occupation Certificates. This decision follows a complaint filed by a residents’ association. The authority has emphasized that the builder must deliver all promised amenities as per the project’s brochure and refund charges for the excess area. The complaint was raised by the residents’ welfare association (RWA) of the housing society, citing various deficiencies and non-compliance from the builder. How Ghaziabad Plans to Tackle Illegal Colonies Without Power

GHAZIABAD: To tackle the rapid proliferation of unauthorized colonies, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) vice chairperson, Atul Vats, has reached out to the stamp and registry department to halt the registration of plots in these illegal areas. Instructions have also been issued to the power department and civic corporation to refrain from granting electricity, water, or sewerage connections until the GDA provides a completion certificate.
