Lucknow to Redevelop Indira Nagar Complex for ₹110 Crore

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) plans to redevelop the aging Kailashkunj Commercial Complex in Indira Nagar, Ayodhya Road, transforming it into a modern mixed-use high-rise with commercial and residential spaces at an estimated cost of ₹110 crore.

Spanning 6,046 square meters, the complex currently accommodates around 280 shops but is in a state of disrepair, with many units vacant and encroachments affecting common areas and parking.

Officials stated that the existing structure will be demolished to make way for a 13-storey building, standing 45 meters tall. The ground and lower floors will feature retail shops and office spaces, while the upper levels will consist of 3BHK apartments.

LDA has initiated discussions with existing allottees, who will receive 1.25 times their current area in the new complex.

Unlike other projects, this redevelopment will be managed directly by LDA without a public-private partnership model. Similar upgrades are also planned for complexes in Aliganj and Gomti Nagar.

LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar mentioned that redeveloping complexes in prime locations will foster the creation of improved commercial hubs with contemporary amenities.
