JAIPUR: In response to the ongoing real estate slowdown, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has initiated the auctioning of residential plots directly to end buyers, moving away from its prior focus on investor-centric land sales.
“The JDA has shifted its emphasis from investors to end users and has commenced e-auctioning vacant plots within residential schemes. Our aim is to encourage direct buyer participation to enhance auction responses and boost revenue,” remarked a JDA official.
Previously, the authority allocated commercial, institutional, and group housing plots through various projects. However, due to failure by earlier buyers to pay the required amounts, these allotments were canceled, leading to around 1,200 plots becoming available, as stated by officials.
“The authority is now auctioning plots ranging from 90 sq m to 252 sq m in the Vipra Vihar and Bilwa schemes. Additional auctions are planned for Anupam Vihar, Yash Vihar, Yamuna Vihar, Saraswati Vihar, and Patel Nagar,” added another official.
