NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to launch the second phase of its single window camps on August 17. This initiative aims to assist in the registration of properties located in unauthorized colonies under the Pradhan Mantri Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY) scheme.
According to officials, these camps are designed to simplify the ownership rights process for residents of unauthorized colonies by providing immediate help with documentation and registration.
The camps will be held at ten locations, including Aman Vihar in Burari, Rana Ji Enclave in Najafgarh, Kabir Bhawan in Mahipalpur, Main Jail Road Harsh Vihar, Milan Vatika in Budh Vihar, Community Centre Bindapur, Guru Nanak Dev Colony in Bhalswa, DDA Camp Office Mayur Vihar Phase 2, Dhasna Stand Najafgarh, and Molar Band Extension in Badarpur. Sub-registrars will oversee registrations to ensure a smooth process.
The initiative will facilitate the execution of authorization slips and conveyance deeds in approved cases, provide assistance in resolving long-pending issues, support new registrations, and guide registered residents in filling out applications and preparing important documents such as ID bonds and notary services,” the authority stated.
For further information before visiting the camps, the DDA has provided this link: DDA Camp Schedule. “While residents can apply for ownership rights online, these camps offer an additional layer of support,” noted a DDA official.
The PM-UDAY scheme aims to grant ownership rights to residents in 1,731 unauthorized colonies in Delhi. In a review conducted in November, the lieutenant governor instructed the DDA to host special camps within these colonies to encourage participation. The first phase ran from November 30 until March, seeing over 19,000 attendees. By December 22, 1,152 authorization slips or conveyance deeds had been issued, and 283 properties were registered.
