CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh administration is preparing to auction 10 residential sites starting Tuesday. The available plots range from 100 to 502 square yards and will be offered via e-auction later this month.
Bidders are invited to submit applications and their earnest money deposit (EMD) from June 2 to June 23. The reserve prices for the plots span from Rs 3.3 crore to Rs 16.5 crore, contingent on plot size. An additional 5% fee will be incurred for corner lots.
Applications will be scrutinized and documents approved from June 24 to June 26. The e-auction will occur from June 27 to June 29, completing the whole process within a month.
The identified sites are located in sectors 15-B, 20, 21, 23, 27-D, 30-A, 37-A, 44, and 44-B. The estate office mandates that all bidders hold a valid digital signature certificate (DSC) to submit documents online. Applicants must register on the official e-auction portal using the “bidder enrolment” option to create a unique username and password.
Once enrolled, bidders need to link their DSC to their profile, with only one DSC recognized per bidder. The administration advises against sharing DSCs to prevent misuse. Comprehensive terms and conditions are accessible on the official portal.
