LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will introduce its one-time settlement (OTS) scheme starting April 18 and will establish a dedicated help desk for applicants.
This decision was made during a review meeting led by LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar on Wednesday.
A special OTS help desk will be available at the single-window counter on the ground floor of LDA headquarters. It will provide detailed information, guide applicants regarding eligibility, and help them complete the online application process.
Under this scheme, applications will be resolved within three months of submission. Beneficiaries will receive a complete waiver of penal interest for the default period, requiring only simple interest calculated via software.
A 2% rebate will be offered if the full OTS amount is paid within 30 days.
For dues exceeding Rs 50 lakh, one-third must be paid within 30 days, with the remaining balance payable in three bi-monthly installments over six months.
A one-month grace period will be provided for delayed payments, along with applicable additional interest.
Officials have been instructed to compile a comprehensive list of defaulters and ensure that all eligible allottees are informed about the scheme. The authority will reach out to defaulters via phone calls, SMS, and emails through its call center and IT cell. If any allottee is overlooked, official letters will be dispatched.
The scheme will encompass residential and commercial properties, those allotted to government institutions, plots designated for schools and charities, auctioned properties, and those issued to cooperative housing societies, as indicated by the LDA VC.
Allottees who have not paid their installments on time and have incurred penal interest will have the opportunity to settle their dues and regularize their properties.
