6,000+ Affordable Homes in Gurugram: 4,728 Shortlisted Applicants

GURUGRAM: The district administration has received over 120,000 applications for the allocation of 6,743 affordable homes designated for economically weaker sections (EWS).

The 1-BHK flats, priced at Rs 1.5 lakh each, are situated in private developer colonies and high-rise societies, providing beneficiaries with organized residential amenities.

The booking process commenced on Thursday to ensure dignified housing for low-income families and facilitate their integration into planned urban environments, in line with the Chief Minister’s Urban Housing Scheme initiated by the Haryana government.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar stated that the corporation received a total of 12,384 applications.

Of these, 4,728 applications passed the initial verification phase.

The next phase of verification will start once applicants pay a booking fee of Rs 10,000 within a week of receiving notification.

Eligible beneficiaries in this phase will enter the draw process and must deposit the remaining amount of Rs 1.4 lakh. Those who don’t secure an allotment will receive a refund of the booking fee.

Assistant Deputy Commissioner Sonu Bhatt, the scheme’s nodal officer, emphasized that the distribution of the reserved flats is conducted with complete transparency. All relevant details are available on the Haryana government’s website.

He encouraged qualified applicants to pay the booking amount by the deadline and participate in the next steps to obtain housing assistance promptly.

He also cautioned the public to be vigilant against potential cyber fraud during this process.

In such cases, citizens should rely solely on official information disseminated through administrative channels.

For further inquiries, applicants can contact 0172-2585852 or visit the Antyodaya Saral Kendra at the ADC office premises.
