HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) is preparing for a new land auction in Raidurg Panmaktha (Knowledge City), with a record upset price set at Rs 139 crore per acre. Officials estimate that the government could generate around Rs 2,000 crore from the sale of approximately 11 acres.

TGIIC announced the auctions on Thursday. One plot, identified as survey no 83/1 and measuring 6.29 acres, will be auctioned on May 28, while another plot of 5.09 acres from the same survey number will be sold on June 1.

In October 2025, a previous auction achieved a record price of Rs 177 crore per acre, with TGIIC generating Rs 3,135 crore. At that time, the upset price was Rs 101 crore per acre. During a subsequent auction for a plot under one acre, the upset price reached Rs 3.10 lakh per square yard, selling for Rs 3.40 lakh per square yard, netting TGIIC an additional Rs 160 crore.

There is significant interest in the Raidurg land, as it hosts some of the world’s largest corporations. T-Hub and T-Works are also situated in the vicinity, with the Outer Ring Road and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) further enhancing its appeal.

The state government owns approximately 470 acres in Knowledge City, having sold about 200 acres in previous auctions. According to official sources, around 70 acres in Raidurg are currently entangled in legal disputes.
