Union Minister: Centre Open to 50:50 Funding for Hyderabad Metro II
HYDERABAD: Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy announced on Wednesday that the Centre is generally agreeable to participating in the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro project, sharing costs with the state government on a 50:50 basis. During a review of key development projects in Hyderabad with Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal in Delhi, Reddy was informed by Lal that the Centre would consider the state government’s proposal for the 162-km second phase positively.
