Over 140 Eligible for ₹50 Lakh Housing Repair Aid in Ward 72

LUDHIANA: The state government will allocate financial aid to 144 beneficiaries from economically weaker sections to refurbish their homes through the Rangla Punjab scheme. Each beneficiary, mainly from the Jawahar Nagar camp in Ward 72, will receive Rs 35,000 for roof repairs, amounting to a total expense of Rs 50.4 lakh. The proposal was recently sanctioned by the finance and contracts committee of the Ludhiana municipal corporation after officials assessed the poor conditions of the homes.
