NEW DELHI: The Board of Directors at Brookprop Management Services, which manages Brookfield India Real Estate Trust (Brookfield India REIT), has appointed Shashank Jain as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective July 1, 2026, succeeding Alok Aggarwal.
Alok Aggarwal, who has been at the helm since the inception of the REIT, will be stepping down as of the close of business on June 30, 2026, as per a regulatory filing.
Jain comes from PwC India, where he served as co-head of the deals practice, bringing over 25 years of experience in real estate, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions advisory.
The board has also appointed Charu Thapar and Gaurav Bhatia as additional key personnel for the REIT.
In a separate announcement, the Brookfield India REIT board approved the issuance of commercial papers amounting to ₹1,000 crore with a maturity period of one year.
