LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) launched the lottery process for the Anant Nagar Housing Scheme on Monday at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.
On the first day, a draw was held for 56 plots, attended by applicants. The draw included allocations for 19 plots of 450 square meters and 37 plots of 162 square meters, with approximately 1,400 applicants vying for the plots.
LDA Vice Chairperson Prathamesh Kumar announced that an additional 155 plots measuring 200 and 288 square meters will be allocated on Tuesday. The final draw for 121 plots of 112.5 square meters will occur on September 10.
Officials revealed that between July 11 and August 10, 8,568 individuals registered online for 332 plots in the second phase of Anant Nagar’s Adarsh Khand. The lottery process will conclude on September 10.
Spanning 785 acres on Mohan Road, the Anant Nagar scheme aims to provide housing for nearly 150,000 people. The plan includes approximately 2,100 residential plots and 120 commercial plots.
In addition, over 10,000 flats will be constructed across 60 group housing plots, accommodating around 25,000 individuals in 5,000 buildings designated for EWS and LIG categories. Projects aligned with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are also underway.
Officials indicated that the scheme is designed in a grid pattern, featuring wide roads and underground power cables, with 130 acres reserved for parks and green spaces. An Edutech City is also part of the initiative, providing comprehensive facilities for students and faculty.
Additional Secretary CP Tripathi emphasized that the lottery is being conducted transparently, with slips drawn directly by the applicants.
