NEW DELHI: Commercial flights from Noida International Airport (NIA), located in Jewar, are set to begin on June 15, 2026.
The inaugural flight will be by IndiGo, with Akasa Air and Air India Express likely to follow soon after.
Airport operations will kick off once the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) approves the Aerodrome Security Programme (ASP).
Developed by Yamuna International Airport (YIAPL), the airport currently features one runway and terminal, with a capacity for 12 million passengers annually. Plans are in place for expansion to accommodate over 70 million passengers in the future.
