Lucknow: LDA set to develop 10 sectors, grid road too in IT City soon

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will develop 10 well-planned sectors in its upcoming IT City project proposed between Sultanpur Road and Kisan Path. The grid road construction of the project, spanning an area of 2,858 acres, will commence next month.

On Thursday, the authority inked a deal for 12 acres of land with a landowner under the land pooling model.

LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar handed over the agreement deed at the authority office. Notably, 39 landowners from five villages have offered around 186 acres of land under the land pooling scheme.

Kumar said: “The IT City is being developed with a focus on structured planning and road connectivity. Land pooling received a positive response from farmers, which will help us complete the project on schedule.” LDA chief engineer Navneet Sharma has been directed to begin construction of 45m, 30m, 24m, and 18m-wide grid roads next month.

A site office is being set up in Mohari Khurd village, with field staff—including two deputy tehsildars, two revenue officials, and other personnel—assigned to accelerate development through regular farmer engagement.

Kumar said land will be acquired from several villages, including Bakkas, Sonai Kanjehra, Sikandarpur Amoliya, Siddhpura, Parehta, Pahadnagar Tikriya, Rakibabad, Mohari Khurd, Khujouli and Bhatwara. The location’s connectivity via Sultanpur National Highway and Kisan Path makes it highly attractive for development.

Approximately 5,000 residential plots ranging from 72 sqm to 200 sqm will be available. Large land parcels for group housing will also be allocated. The plan reserves about 445.65 acres for industrial zones and 260 acres for commercial activities, expected to boost economic growth. A 200-acre green belt will host a golf city while a 15-acre water body is designed to enhance the project’s environmental appeal.
