LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) organized a lottery draw for the distribution of developed residential plots to farmers and landowners who contributed their land under the land pooling policy for the IT City project.
The draw took place on Monday at the Mars auditorium in Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, where applicants were invited to participate, and it was also streamed live on YouTube.
LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar announced that the scheme is being developed on approximately 3,490 acres along Sultanpur road. Only landowners who signed agreements with the LDA by January 31 were included in the lottery. The draw allocated plots across six categories, which included sizes of 288, 200, 162, 128, 72, and 35 square meters. In total, 549 plots were distributed.
The planned plots are located in sectors 15, 16, 17, 18, and 30 of the IT City scheme. Around 350 landowners pooled nearly 550 acres of land under this policy, which encompasses various villages in the Mohanlalganj tehsil.
LDA officials stated that applicants who completed their agreements by the deadline were invited on stage to draw the slips. Many farmers and landowners present expressed satisfaction with the transparency of the process.
