NEW DELHI: LIC Housing Finance has announced a 4.41% increase in its net consolidated profit for the quarter ending June 30, 2025. The profit after tax reached ₹1,364 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to ₹1,306.40 crore from the same quarter last year, as per a BSE filing.
The company reported a net consolidated total income of ₹7,250.16 crore in Q1 FY26, reflecting a 6.67% growth from ₹6,796.85 crore in the previous fiscal year’s same quarter.
Tribhuwan Adhikari, the managing director and CEO, stated, “This year has begun positively, as we have lowered lending rates during this quarter following the RBI’s rate cut. We also introduced zero processing fees to facilitate access to housing credit.”
As of June 30, 2025, the company’s net worth was ₹35,934.06 crore, with a debt-equity ratio of 7.71. Other key metrics included a total debt to total assets ratio of 0.88, an operating margin of 23.49%, a net profit margin of 18.80%, and gross and net non-performing assets (NPAs) at 2.62% and 1.30% respectively, along with a liquidity coverage ratio of 177.43%.
The board has set up a review committee to identify wilful defaulters.
Total disbursements in Q1 FY26 reached ₹13,116 crore, a slight increase from ₹12,915 crore in FY25. Disbursements for the individual home loan sector amounted to ₹11,247 crore, compared to ₹10,932 crore in Q1 FY25, representing a 3% growth. However, project loans declined to ₹156 crore from ₹521 crore in the previous year’s quarter.
The individual home loan portfolio was valued at ₹2,62,411 crore as of June 30, 2025, up from ₹2,46,275 crore a year earlier—an increase of 7%. The project loan portfolio also rose to ₹8,950 crore, compared to ₹8,099 crore from the previous year, reflecting a 10% growth. Overall, the total outstanding portfolio grew by 7% to ₹3,09,587 crore from ₹2,88,665 crore the prior year.
Provisions for expected credit loss (ECL) were recorded at ₹5,051.27 crore as of June 30, 2025, down from ₹5,670.07 crore a year prior. As of the same date, stage 3 exposure at default was 2.62%, compared to 3.30% as of June 30, 2024.
