NEW DELHI: The DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana 2025 has received an impressive response, with 684 flats—about 60% of the total units—sold within the first 24 hours of booking, according to officials on Thursday.
This scheme provides a unique opportunity for serving and retired government employees from central and state agencies, public sector undertakings, and other government sectors to secure a flat. The booking process began on January 14, coinciding with Makar Sankranti.
“The substantial first-day response is projected to generate around Rs 450 crore in revenue, reflecting increased confidence among homebuyers in DDA’s housing initiatives and emphasizing Narela’s status as a well-connected sub-city and a favored residential area in Delhi,” stated the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Officials credit the strong uptake to ongoing housing reforms and noticeable improvements in Narela, made possible by targeted urban planning, infrastructure developments, and initiatives implemented under the direct supervision of Lt Governor VK Saxena.
Demand has been robust across all housing categories. One BHK flats are nearly sold out, highlighting a significant need for affordable, ready-to-move-in homes, while two BHK units have contributed the most to revenue.
“The area enjoys excellent road connectivity via GT Karnal Road and the Urban Extension Road-II. Furthermore, the upcoming Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro Corridor is anticipated to greatly enhance public transport accessibility,” added the statement.
Recently, DDA also allocated land to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi Teachers’ University for the establishment of new campuses in Narela.
The sale of flats in Pocket 9, Sector A1 to A4, Narela is being conducted entirely online through DDA’s Awaas Portal. The scheme will remain open for bookings until March 31, 2026, as stated by DDA.
