NEW DELHI: State-run NBCC (India) has been awarded redevelopment contracts totaling approximately ₹775.27 crore from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for a complete overhaul of staff housing colonies in the capital.
According to a regulatory filing, the contracts include the redevelopment of DDA staff quarters at Old Rajinder Nagar (ORN) worth about ₹437.79 crore and at Safdarjung Development Area (SDA) valued at ₹337.48 crore. The total project value, excluding GST, is ₹775.27 crore.
The projects have been awarded under a project management consultancy (PMC) model as part of normal business operations, NBCC stated in its filing.
DDA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NBCC for the redevelopment of its outdated and deteriorating staff quarters at the two sites. The redevelopment approach will follow a self-sustaining model, allowing for a portion of the developed built-up area (BUA) to be monetized to generate funds for construction, while the remainder will be allocated to DDA for staff use.
Currently, there are 117 dwelling units at Old Rajinder Nagar and 152 units at Safdarjung Development Area used as staff quarters.
Initial estimates indicate that the total built-up area to be developed is around 99,635 sq meters (excluding external development) at ORN and about 65,925 sq meters at SDA. The final built-up area will require DDA approval following detailed surveys and a comprehensive project report (DPR).
E-auction of DDA’s Premium Housing Scheme 2026
The live e-auction for eligible bidders is set for March 2 and 3, 2026.
DDA launched its Premium Housing Scheme 2026 through an e-auction on January 6, 2026. The last date for earnest money deposit (EMD) submission was February 20, 2026, while final application submissions ended on February 23, 2026.
