NEW DELHI: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) announced on Tuesday that it has granted in-principle approval for mining giant Vedanta’s proposal to acquire the financially troubled Jaiprakash Associates, contingent upon winning the ongoing insolvency auction. HYDERABAD: From January to September this year, Telangana has experienced an alarming increase in fire incidents, resulting in a staggering property loss of ₹819.37 crore—the highest recorded in the state’s history over the past 11 years.
