LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) held a lottery on Thursday for the allocation of 1BHK flats under the Atalnagar Yojana at Devpur Para.
A total of 1,665 one-bedroom flats were distributed during the lottery, with applicants invited on stage to choose slips to guarantee transparency. The entire event was live-streamed on YouTube. Many applicants expressed their relief at the long-awaited allotment.
“I applied as soon as the scheme was announced but didn’t expect my name to be drawn in the first round,” said Vipin Kumar Sahu from Prayagraj. “This allotment brings a permanent home for my family.”
The draw for 2BHK flats under the scheme is set for Friday. LDA’s additional secretary, CP Tripathi, mentioned that the Atal Nagar Yojana includes a total of 2,496 flats spread across 15 towers, with heights ranging from 12 to 19 floors. “Out of these, there are 1,832 one-bedroom units and 664 two-bedroom units,” he stated. The flats are priced between approximately Rs 9.82 lakh and Rs 18 lakh, depending on their size and category. The living spaces range from 30 square metres to 54.95 square metres.
Tripathi added that the development features facilities like lifts, water supply, power backup, security, green spaces, playgrounds, and parking. Applicants present at the venue commended the transparent lottery process. “It was straightforward and easy to follow,” remarked Rakesh Kumar Sharma, one of the fortunate allottees.
Online registration for the Atal Nagar Yojana was open from October 4 to December 2, 2025, with LDA officials reporting a total of 5,781 applications received.
