Gurugram: Ornamental Realtors Hit with FIR Over License Issue

GURUGRAM: The district town planner (enforcement) has requested an FIR against a builder due to alleged violations concerning its commercial colony license in Sector 61. Ornamental Realtors Pvt Ltd’s license, which was valid for eight years, expired on August 26, 2017.

The request for an FIR has been shared with high-ranking officials at both district and state levels, indicating the government’s commitment to closely monitoring licensed colony projects. Officials noted that Ornamental Realtors Pvt Ltd repeatedly failed to comply with various statutory obligations, leading the enforcement wing to refer the matter to the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau police.

This action adds to an increasing list of enforcement measures against non-compliant developers in the city’s burgeoning real estate sector.

The town planner indicated that the builder was granted a license on August 27, 2009, to develop a 3.5-acre commercial colony in Ghata village, part of the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex.

However, the developer allegedly did not file a renewal application in the required format, nor did it pay the necessary renewal fees as stipulated by the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975, and the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Rules, 1976.

Officials said these lapses were first identified during a compliance review earlier this year. According to regulations, every licensed colony developer must routinely upload mandatory compliance documents, including progress reports and financial disclosures.

In March 2025, the department found that Ornamental Realtors did not provide complete documents on the designated portal, constituting a breach of essential regulatory conditions.

A formal notice was issued to the company in October 2025, instructing it to correct the violations and submit all outstanding documents.
