LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to establish an industrial township along the Agra Expressway. A meeting was conducted with farmers at Dona village in Kakori on Friday.
The meeting gathered village leaders and district panchayat members from 12 nearby villages to discuss land acquisition.
LDA Joint Secretary Sushil Pratap Singh announced that the township will span 5,610 acres in the Sadar and Sarojininagar tehsils, impacting several villages, including Bhalia, Adampur Indwara, Bahru, Jaliyamau, Madarpur, Ibrahimganj, Naktaura, Gehalwara, Tejkrishna Khera, Rewari, Sakra, and Dona. The development aims to provide residential options for over 200,000 people and is projected to attract investments and generate extensive employment in sectors such as industrial, health, education, and logistics.
Farmers expressed their needs for infrastructure, including internal roads, drainage systems, health centers, schools, parks, cremation grounds, and water bodies, which the LDA has agreed to consider. Concerns regarding discrepancies in land records and illegal plotting by certain property dealers were also addressed, with officials promising corrective actions through collaborative teams.
This initiative is being finalized under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Scheme, with the LDA actively engaging with local residents to ensure a seamless implementation.
