Realty United Infra Director Arrested for Land Fraud in Indore

INDORE: A director of Realty United Infra Private Limited was arrested for allegedly creating forged documents related to a government-mortgaged plot and defrauding a woman of ₹18.75 lakh by executing a sale agreement for land that was not legally available for sale.

According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya, the suspect, Anita Gehlot, allegedly persuaded complainant Vanita Dangi to purchase Plot No. J-16 in Orchid Park Colony by offering it at a price lower than the market rate. Gehlot reportedly entered into a sale agreement with Dangi and collected ₹18.75 lakh.

During the investigation, police confirmed that the plot had already been mortgaged to the government for development permission. Investigators revealed that forged documents had been prepared linking the mortgaged plot to the sale to the complainant, resulting in the initiation of a criminal case.

Based on Dangi’s report, the crime branch registered a case under Sections 318(4) and 316(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and made the arrest of Gehlot.

The accused is currently in police custody for further interrogation. Investigators are exploring the possibility that similar forged documents were used for selling other mortgaged plots and suspect additional victims may have been defrauded.
