PANCHKULA: An enforcement drive conducted by the district town planning (DTP) department led to the demolition of two unauthorized colonies in Barwala and Plasra villages on Tuesday.

In accordance with the directives from Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, the DTP team utilized JCB machines to dismantle an unpaved road, a damp-proof course (DPC) structure, and boundary demarcations for three plots.

District Town Planner Babita Gupta emphasized that no construction or colony development is allowed without the prior approval of the Director of the Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana. She cautioned that strict action will be taken against individuals involved in illegal colonization or unauthorized construction activities.

Gupta encouraged residents to confirm the necessary approvals before purchasing plots and advised against initiating construction or developing colonies without the required Change of Land Use (CLU) permission or license from the department.
