Hyderabad: Thorrur Plot Auctions for ₹45,000 per Sq Yard

HYDERABAD: The recent auction of open plots in Thorrur and Bahadurpally garnered significant interest, with bids reaching Rs 45,500 per square yard in Thorrur and Rs 40,500 in Bahadurpally.

The Rajiv Swagruha Corporation held an auction for 85 open plots across various locations on Monday. Of these, 66 were auctioned in Thorrur, 11 in Kurmalguda, and eight in Bahadurpally, attracting around 150 bidders.

VP Gautam, managing director of the corporation, noted that the auctions were well-received. Given Thorrur’s proximity to the Outer Ring Road and the Adibatla IT corridor, some bids reached as high as Rs 45,000 per square yard.

Despite the upset price being set at Rs 25,000 per square yard, the plots sold at an average of Rs 32,500 per square yard.

In Kurmalguda, which is near Shamshabad Airport, plots went for an average of Rs 27,500 per square yard, exceeding the upset price of Rs 20,000 per square yard.

Meanwhile, in Bahadurpally, the upset price was Rs 27,000 per square yard, with the highest bid reaching Rs 40,500 and the average bid settling at Rs 33,800 per square yard.
