GURUGRAM: The District Town Planning (DTP) enforcement wing launched a demolition campaign against unauthorized colonies and illegal constructions at various sites in the city on February 11 and 13. Structures like foundation-level constructions, boundary walls, and internal roads in Sadhrana, Bohra Kalan, Jamalpur, and Sector 89 were removed with the assistance of police teams from the Sector 10A and Bilaspur stations.

Following complaints registered through the Chief Minister’s grievance portal, enforcement teams arrived at the revenue estate of Sadhrana on February 13. In one unauthorized colony, three damp-proof course foundations were dismantled, and the earthen road network was cleared to halt further construction and sale of plots. In a separate action within the same village, 13 additional foundations were demolished, and internal roads in another illegal colony were also removed to stop ongoing development.

On the same day, officials addressed issues within Wood View Residency, a licensed colony in Sector 89 developed by Orris Pvt Ltd. An unauthorized site office identified on licensed land was demolished as it breached sanctioned plans and was constructed without approval.

“Such structures often serve as centers for illegal transactions or mislead buyers. We are committed to ensuring rigorous compliance within licensed colonies as well,” stated an enforcement official.

Earlier, on February 11, two unauthorized colonies in the revenue estates of Bohra Kalan and Jamalpur, under Bilaspur police jurisdiction, were demolished. At one site, 11 damp-proof course foundations and boundary walls were taken down, alongside the removal of the earthen road network. At another location, 15 foundations and demarcation structures were dismantled, along with internal roads, to prevent further construction.

Police were deployed at all demolition sites to maintain order, and officials noted that operations were executed with minimal resistance. “By targeting construction at the foundational stage and removing access roads, we aim to deter illegal plotting before permanent structures arise,” officials explained.

The enforcement wing has increased monitoring in developing sectors and revenue estates where unauthorized colonies are frequently reported. Buyers are urged to verify approvals and licenses before investing in plots or under-construction projects.

“We will continue our actions against illegal colonies and unauthorized constructions. Our goal is to combat unplanned development and safeguard homebuyers from fraudulent land deals,” an official affirmed.
