Gurugram: DTCP Issues Notice to Developer After License Lapse

GURUGRAM: The Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has issued a regulatory notice to a developer for alleged non-compliance with regulations relating to a commercial colony project in Sector 65.

The developer received licenses in 2011 and 2012 for a 3.2-acre project within the Badshapur revenue estate, part of the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex.

These licenses expired in January 2019 and February 2020. The developer did not apply for renewal in the specified timeframe, nor did they submit the required renewal fee and accompanying documentation.

The department has pointed out the failure to transfer land designated for master plan roads to the government at no cost, as mandated by the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.

The Authority’s notice indicates that these infractions violate the relevant Act, Rules, and agreements with the department, which could lead to the licenses being deemed null and void.

The developer has been given 30 days to address the identified issues; otherwise, further action may be taken under Rule 18(2) of the Rules, 1976.

Enforcement officials are instructed to initiate proceedings under Section 10 of the Act and file a report within ten days.

The DTCP has also mandated that the status of this case be updated on the department’s website for public awareness.
