Uttar Pradesh Housing Board Raises ₹1,000 Crore via New Scheme

LUCKNOW: The housing board has generated an impressive revenue of ₹1,000 crore through its first-come-first-served scheme, launched in October last year. This initiative aims to sell off old units that had remained unsold for various reasons, officially beginning on October 31.

The Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad compiled a list of unsold properties statewide. Information about the flats, including their coordinates, photographs, and addresses, is available on a centralized portal managed by the department. Housing Commissioner Balkar Singh mentioned that 2,141 flats have been booked by buyers so far, adding that “the scheme is effective until March 31.”

To make the offer more appealing, a 15% discount is provided for full payment made within 60 days of booking, while a 10% rebate is available for payments completed within 90 days.
