LUCKNOW: Over 1.3 million homes have been granted approval in Uttar Pradesh for the underprivileged, including the poor and destitute, as revealed by Rural Development Minister Vijay Laxmi Gautam in the state Assembly on Tuesday.
This announcement came during the Question Hour on the second day of the Monsoon Session in response to a question posed by Samajwadi Party member Arman Khan.
Gautam stated that from 2022-23 to 2024-25, a total of 1,044,876 homes were sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, alongside 262,594 homes approved under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
Additionally, she mentioned that a survey encompassing 57.73 lakh individuals is currently ongoing, and the distribution of homes will commence shortly.
