UP-RERA Resolves 50,000+ Complaints, Tops Grievance Redressal

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has successfully resolved 50,812 consumer complaints to date, which represents nearly 40% of all real estate grievances addressed nationwide.

Since its establishment, UP-RERA has received 58,545 complaints under Section 31 of the RERA Act, accounting for 39% of the national total. With a disposal rate of 85.2%, the authority has become the primary platform for homebuyers seeking resolutions for issues related to possession delays, refunds, and interest payments.

Sanjay Bhoosreddy, chairman of UP-RERA, stated that the disposal rate reflects the regulator’s commitment to timely justice and the accountability of promoters.

In 2025 alone, a total of 2,394 complaints were lodged with the regulator, of which 1,810 have been resolved. The majority of these cases emerged from districts with significant real estate activity, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, and Meerut.
