HYDERABAD: The Telangana Housing Board is set to auction plots and flats within the GHMC limits, including locations such as Nizampet, Bachupally, and Chintal, starting Monday. Some properties will be auctioned publicly, while others will be available through e-auction.
The Housing Board has been actively auctioning land over the past five months to support the Indiramma Housing Scheme for the underprivileged.
Sources indicate that the corporation is expected to transfer ₹1,618 crore to the government for the Indiramma scheme.
Officials announced that residential properties in Chintal, Nizampet, and Bachupally will be available for open auction, following a notification issued on October 15. Up for auction on Monday are eight middle-income group (MIG) and high-income group (HIG) plots in Chintal, along with four flats in Nizampet and Bachupally. Recently, an acre of land in the KPHB colony was sold for approximately ₹70 crore during an e-auction.
Additionally, four commercial plots in the KPHB Colony will be auctioned via e-auction on October 7 and 8. This includes a total of 6,549 square yards across Phases 1 and 2, with plots measuring 2,420 square yards, 2,397 square yards, and 726 square yards up for bidding on Tuesday. A commercial plot of 1,148 square yards in the Nampally area will also be available on October 8. Furthermore, on October 9 and 10, e-auction will include 10,890 square meters of commercial land in Chintal, along with various land parcels measuring 13,503 sq m, 5,953.20 sq m, and 3,630 sq m located in the Raviryal area of Maheshwaram mandal.
Notifications have also been released for the auction of Housing Board plots in multiple districts across Telangana over the next ten days, including areas such as Sangareddy-Sadasivpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Nizamabad.
