HYDERABAD: Recent auctions of Telangana Housing Board land parcels have seen impressive prices, reaching ₹1.76 lakh per square yard in Gachibowli and ₹1.64 lakh per square yard in Kukatpally. The total revenue generated from Monday’s land sales stood at ₹34.27 crore.
The Board released a notification on February 9 to auction off 14 land parcels in Gachibowli, Bowrampet, Balaji Nagar, Chintal, and other areas across the city.
Approximately 50 bidders participated in the auction held at the KPHB community hall on Monday. All plots sold were in the MIG and HIG categories, with the exception of a plot in Bowrampet and a flat in Bachupally. The competition for these plots was intense.
An upset price of ₹50,000 was set for a 263 square yard plot in Gachibowli, which ultimately sold for ₹1.76 lakh per square yard. Similarly, a 266 square yard plot in Kukatpally Balaji Nagar fetched ₹1.64 lakh per square yard. Open plots in Chintal were sold for ₹84,000 and ₹74,000 per square yard, stated Housing Board vice chairman VP Gautam.
Another Gachibowli plot went for ₹1 lakh per square yard, while a 2,600 square yard plot in Bowrampet was sold for ₹61,000 per square yard.
