DDA to offer residential plots for auction in south Delhi area

Focusing on flatted development so far, the authority recently began the process to engage a specialist firm to mark out 118 plots in D6 Vasant Kunj in south Delhi. SC appointed committee approves housing project in Vasant Kunj with tree rider

NEW DELHI: The Central Empowered Committee (CEC), appointed by the Supreme Court, has granted approval for a group housing development in Sector B, Pocket-1 in Vasant Kunj. Nearly 80% of the development is on the morphological ridge of Delhi, so the CEC has asked the private builder to ensure the protection of all 23 existing trees within the project boundary. The private developer has been asked to plant 250 indigenous tree species for a green fencing. Additionally, the developer is required to plant another 250 trees along the internal roadway.
