Jaipur Introduces Draft Policy for Transit-Oriented Development

JAIPUR: The urban development department has announced a draft of its Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy, aimed at creating planned, mixed-use areas along transit corridors in Jaipur. The initiative encourages access to stations by foot or non-motorised vehicles, reducing reliance on private transport. Public comments on the draft are welcome until September 14. This TOD policy seeks to enhance public transit usage, lower dependence on personal vehicles, alleviate traffic congestion, cut pollution, and foster smart urban growth.
