Delhi’s property tax amnesty scheme extended to Feb 28
NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi announced on Monday that it has extended its property tax amnesty program, ‘SUNIYO,’ until February 28, 2026. Officials have encouraged property owners throughout the capital to step forward and clear their outstanding dues, as the late fee will remain unchanged at 5%. Under the Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (SUNIYO), taxpayers can receive a complete waiver of property tax, interest, and penalties for all years before 2020-21, provided they pay the principal tax for the current fiscal year (2025-26) and the previous five years.
