Not just land, now 7/12 documents for building floors too in Maharashtra
NAGPUR: Revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said the govt is exploring the option of issuing 7/12 document, a crucial document which establishes ownership, for multi-floor properties, rather than just the land it stands on. Such a scheme will benefit residents of buildings which house joint families and have now expanded to multi-generational residents. Such type of buildings are common in tier-2 cities as well as semi-urbanized areas, where sons keep building their houses on higher floors after getting married.
