PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N Rangasamy has announced that his government is rolling out a housing subsidy scheme aimed at providing solid homes for the underprivileged by replacing makeshift huts. During a function in Tirukanchi village on Thursday, where he distributed increased pensions to the elderly, destitute women, and marginalized citizens, he stated, “The integrated housing scheme, which combines subsidies from our territorial government with the Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, has been initiated to support the poor in transitioning from huts to concrete houses.” Rangasamy expressed confidence that the Union Territory would become “hut-free” by swiftly implementing this housing scheme.…
